If you plan to go to the beach or coastal areas, always remember to:

• Check the Weather Forecast - Sea Area Forecast
• Check the Tides - Easytide.ukho.gov.uk
• Check if the area you are going to is a lifeguarded area - Irish Water Safety Website
• Wear sun protection - follow the SunSmart Code
• Wear appropriate footwear for coastal path walking - see the Discover Ireland Walking Safely Guide
• Pack protective clothing for coastal walking
• Charge your mobile phone in case you need to call for help
