Safetyonthewater.ie provides user friendly information on water safety for anyone who wants to get involved in water-based leisure activities in Ireland.

The site provides free brochures you can download, links to information on weather forcasts, Marine Safety Notices and more. The site is currently being upgraded.

Remember, in an emergency, call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coast Guard. 





 

 

 



If you plan to go out on the water, always remember to:

  • "Keep in touch"
  • Plan your trip carefully and never go out alone
  • Let someone ashore know where you are going and when you will be back
  • Carry a means of communication and for raising the alarm should you get in difficulty
